Back To Business!

If you’ve been into Refine recently, you probably noticed a lot of changes to the studio. New hallway, new mats, and most important – new workout stations. So why the change?

First of all, remember that we are Refine Method, not Refine Machines. The program drives the props and not the other way around. Unlike the big gyms, our method is not about big, shiny (and not always useful) machines – it’s about refining all the fitness information we can find and distilling it down to only the best. We certainly would not jam our studio full of elliptical machines and Bowflexes just to show we’ve got the latest equipment. Instead, we’re dedicated to improving and adjusting our wall stations to the best fit of our clients and our program.

Refine is not about jumping on the latest workout fad or running from machine to machine. Refine is about a methodology for the best workout possible, with machines and props developed specifically to help our clients achieve that goal. We grow over time in order to help you shrink!

That doesn’t mean switching from spinning to ballet to strip aerobics every time the fitness magazines say you should – it means incorporating new information into our core tenets. We adjust and change because as you work out, you will change too. What works for a client when she first walks into the studio  will need to be progressed three months down the road. The types of exercises and the level of resistance need to be customized to particular clients, and the new machines mean we can achieve that with ease.

We will explain more about the new machines soon – but in the mean time, come to Refine and see them yourself!
